About RAM Clutches 43810 Long Style Adjustable Pressure
RAM Clutches 43810 Long Style Adjustable Replacement Pressure Ring – 11-Inches is a member of the RAM Truck Pulling Clutches – Single Disc Series. The RAM Clutch Systems for Light-Duty truck pulling are based on the Long Style clutch assembly. Expertly engineered for Light-Duty Pulling where limited 'slip' in the clutch is required. A Long Style pressure plate with counterweighted levers is used in conjunction with a Six-Paddle Rametallic disc. This setup will provide moderate increases in holding power on the low end and the Centrifugally Weighted Levers will add more clamping pressure as the engine RPM (Revolutions Per-Minute) climbs. The Light-Duty Pulling clutch is best utilized for applications where the vehicle is still street driven or is occasionally used in competition. If higher Horsepower applications are desired, the RAM Clutches Sintered Iron clutch options are recommended. As with RAM Clutches Specialty Drag Race clutches, the RAM Clutches Truck Pull clutches are custom assembled for specific applications. Based on the Eleven-Inches Long Style design, these units feature a heavy gauge steel cover with welded spring guides, and a steel pressure ring. Flywheels are available in weights of 30 or 40-Pounds, as well as Billet Aluminum. The clutch can be set up with either 5135 or 5191-Compound Iron Discs in Splines up to 1-1/16 to 10. Single disc 'slipper' style clutches can be utilized on engines of up to 800-Horsepower, or where very limited slipping is desired. RAM Clutches are the Champions Choice.
