He travels were often with tourists of his tour company. At other times he explored the mountains escarpments, places behind military checkpoints and into Yemen alone or with friends. Many of these off the beaten track places in Dhofar were included in the updated 2017 edition of the Bradt Guide to Oman. This book about Dhofar allows many of these little known corners of Arabia to be understood by other visitors to the region.
