It performs 8 charging cycles completely automatically and can be used for the maintenance and recharging of batteries used in automotive, motorcycle, scooter, camping, powersport, gardening and "deep-cycle" batteries. In this range we find BC SMART 2000+, a battery charger and maintainer, which with its maximum charging current of 2 Amp is designed, thanks to an automatic algorithm without having to select anything, for complete maintenance of all types of traditional 12V batteries, from lead-acid to AGM, from 1.2Ah up to 100Ah. It charges much faster than normal battery chargers, the battery with BC Battery Controller products can last up to 8/10 years, and can repair sulphated batteries, recover 1.25V batteries (the lowest level on the market) and is designed for use with vehicles equipped with “micro-hybrid” start/stop systems. Controlled by a cutting-edge microcomputer, BC SMART 2000+, in addition to monitoring the safety and efficient charging of the battery, automatically reduces energy consumption to a minimum and guarantees a high level of protection thanks to its spark-proof system and its protections against overloads, polarity inversions and short circuits. Completely automatic, it can remain connected to the battery 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, therefore for entire months, even for years in a totally safe way, and also thanks to its carbon-effect livery, simple design and its compactness and ease of handling, this product is super light and truly suitable for everyone. CHARGING ALGORITHM - CHARGING PROGRAM The battery charger is internally controlled by a microprocessor that monitors the battery status in real time and automatically performs 8 charging cycles. Phase 1 - Initialization: checks that one or more cells are not short-circuited and that the battery is therefore in a condition to be recharged/recovered. Phase 2 - Recovery: if the battery is in a state of extreme discharge (starting from 1.25V), the device attempts to recover it, to bring it back to higher voltages compatible with the next phase. Phase 3 - Soft Charge: if the battery is significantly discharged, the device supplies a light pulsed current to the battery, to overcome the critical phase. Phase 4 - Main Charge: during this phase the battery charger supplies full current to the battery, which can recover up to 85-90% of its capacity. Phase 5 - Desulfation / Absorption: in this phase the battery is provided with a "controlled overload" capable of restoring the remaining 10-15% of the battery's capacity, by desulfation/recovery of the lead-acid cells (for levels of mild or medium sulphation). Phase 6 - Battery Analysis: the device interrupts the supply of current for a few dozen minutes and checks that the battery is able to retain the charge received during the previous charging cycles. The test is periodically repeated at regular intervals. Phase 7 - Maintenance: thanks to a specially designed electronic circuit, the device maintains the battery charge during periods of non-use, without overheating, overloading and water/electrolyte loss. Phase 8 - Equalization: during long-term maintenance, the device performs an equalization charge every 30 days to rebalance the battery cells, avoiding electrolyte stratification phenomena.
