Translational approaches in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine is the science and technology of design-based or product-driven approaches to improve tissue function or heal tissue defects and represents a departure from hypothesis-driven experiments in biomedical research. This monograph contains 28 standalone chapters describing examples of issues and strategies within such disciplines as stem cell biology or biomaterials design or examples of specific applications such as a bioengineered synovial joint or internal organs.
