The Rice Lake metric stainless steel precision test weight meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Class 2 specifications, has a 7.95 density, and is designed for a variety of weighing operations. The weight can be adjusted by attaching other weights to the screw-knob. The weight is constructed of stainless steel for stability, resistance to corrosion, and low magnetic susceptibility. The set includes a precision test weight, a handling glove, and a protective case. The weight meets ASTM E617, Class 2 specification for use as a reference standard for calibrating high-precision top-loading balances with a readability as low as 0.01g to 0.001g.
