Inactive Prepaid Backup SIM card for use in all current and previous Thuraya satellite phones including Thuraya SG-2520, SO-2510, XT, XT-LITE, XT-Pro and SatSleeve.

The Prepaid Backup plan is designed for long term emergency use and features flat rate pricing across Thuraya coverage area.

This SIM contains 10 units of airtime. Upon activation of your SIM a PIN will be provided to add the remaining units advertised on the listing purchased e.g. SIMs advertised with 30 units will be provided with a PIN for 20 units.

The Prepaid Backup SIM card is valid for 60 months from the point of activation and can be extended by adding pre-paid airtime vouchers. First call must be made within 90 days of activation. Calls made to Band 1 numbers are charged at 2.50 units per minute to a landline or mobile number.

Important: Thuraya does not offer global coverage so please ensure that the region you wish to use the network in is available on the coverage map. You will be unable to use any Thuraya equipment including handsets and/or airtime to connect to the network when outside of the Thuraya satellite footprint area. This includes North and South America.
About Thuraya Satellite Phone Prepaid Backup SIM With 30
The Thuraya Prepaid Backup SIM allows you to keep your Thuraya satellite phone active for emergency use over a long period without a monthly contract. The SIM will be activated with the number of units indicated in the description. No activation fee applies. The SIM can be activated immediately or any date in the future using our easy to use online activation request web page. Calls to Band 1: 2.5 unit per minute Calls to Band 2: 5 units per minute Voice Calls to Catch All per min: 8 units per minute SMS: 0.5 units Renewal Fee: 39 units Minimum billable increment = 1 minute increments, 1 minute increments thereafter Terms & Conditions: Thuraya Backup SIM First call must be made within 365 days, SIM is deactivated if the first call is not made within 365 days from the date of activation. Thuraya Backup plan has a validity of five years from first call. Renewal Fee: $120.00 (120 Units deducted automatically from balance on renewal date) If the account balance is below $120 at the renewal time, the account enters the 90-day grace period (Incoming calls are still possible). If the account is refilled within the grace period, the existing balance will be restored. If account is not refilled within the grace period, it will be deactivated and the number will be lost. If the account is NOT refilled within the grace period, the entire unused balance will be reset to zero and the account will be permanently deactivated. Please note that upon requesting activation of your prepaid airtime you are agreeing that we can start providing your network services before the end of the usual statutory cancellation period and that by doing so, you lose your right to cancel your purchase of the prepaid airtime or request a refund. As a result, please check that you have ordered the correct airtime for your handset or terminal. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full information.
