For anyone that has never read it I think you will find it extremely informative regarding the most important interaction between God and man, the salvation of the human soul. The author's goal is twofold: 1. To show that the common practice in churches today of "accepting Christ" or making a mental decision is not biblical. 2. To prove that this practice is a recent development in religious history.I particularly want to recommend it to people who have always hoped they were going to heaven but been plagued with doubt. Maybe you went forward in a church service and accepted Christ OR repeated a sinner's prayer and yet still have this awful fear of dying. This book wont' solve all of your problems as that is something only God can do, but it may answer some of your important questions. Finally, I think this book will help illustrate that salvation as taught in the Bible is an experience which includes the human mind, but also transcends it. That salvation is an experience we have with God which literally changes our nature, and thereby effectively changes our habits, desires, and interests. If you are not a big reader and don't think you would finish a "big" book like this, only read Chapter 5. It is there, where true salvation taught in the scriptures is detailed.
