Jordan Mens Air Jordan 14 Retro Low DC9857 200 Clot Features

  • The Clot x Air Jordan 14 Low “Terracotta” is a February 2021 collaboration between Edison Chen’s streetwear label and Jordan Brand on Michael Jordan’s fourteenth signature shoe.

  • Inspired by the massive reddish clay sculpted figures used in the burial of China’s first emperor in 210 B.C., the “Terracotta'' progresses Chen’s desire of bridging the gap between Eastern and Western cultures through sneakers.

  • An earthy beige suede overlay can be found on the toe. The rest of the upper is constructed from a slightly lighter shade of matted beige suede for an “ancient” look. “Clot” and “Jordan” branding appear on the top of the left and right tongue, respectively.

  • A metal medallion on the heel symbolizes a warrior on the basketball court. Clot finishes off the look of its “Terracotta” Air Jordan 14 collaboration by adding “clay” inspired detailing to the midsole that gives the shoe a “hardened” look.

  • The flashy design reappears on the Swoosh located on the mid-panel, which is also outlined in the same neon hue

About Jordan Mens Air Jordan 14 Retro Low DC9857 200 Clot

When the first emperor of China passed away in 210 B.C., he was buried with an army of over 8,000 sculpted figures to protect him in the afterlife. The massive force was carved out of reddish clay and, after being unearthed in 1974, became known as the Terracotta Army. An archaic monument and a pair of stealthy sneakers might seem worlds apart, but not to Edison Chen—designer and founder of CLOT—whose core philosophy revolves around the bridging of Eastern and Western design. Taking inspiration from that underground infantry, this Air Jordan 14 utilises a mix of matted suedes and earthy textures to create a look that's equal parts ancient and innovative. The silhouette features a heavy-duty build that mimics armour and a metal medallion on the heel, and also sports an esoteric hangtag depicting a venerable warrior en route to the edge.
