About Morgan Silver Dollars Log Book
The Morgan Silver Dollar is the Most Collected US Coin The Morgan Silver Dollars were made from 1878 until 1904, again in 1921 and 2021 as a special coinage. It is named after the designer, George T. Morgan Coin Description: The front of the Morgan Dollar, shows Liberty's head, facing left. She wears a Phrygian cap with the words LIBERTY on her hair band. The front also shows grain and oak leaves. Above the head is E.PLURIBUS. UNUM. There are 7 flat stars on the left and 6 flat stars on the right, depicting the original 13 colonies. The date is below the bust and "M" for Morgan is noted on the neck On the back of the coin, is a Bald Eagle with outstretched wings and surrounded by a wreath. An Olive Branch, symbolizing peace is clutched in the eagles claws, as are 3 arrows, symbolizing war. The Motto IN GOD WE TRUST is shown above and ONE DOLLAR, below. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA surrounds the Eagle.
