This is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) promoting the Original West End production of the _______________ and TIM RICE musical hit "EVITA" at the Prince Edward Theatre in London. (The production opened June 21st, 1978 and ran for 2900 performances.) ..... The musical starred KATHRYN EVANS as "Eva Peron", JIMMY KEAN as "Che" and DANIEL BENZALI as "Peron" and featured JACKIE EKERS and CLIFTON TODD with MARIA MORGAN appearing as "Eva Peron" at certain performances ..... CREDITS: Music by __________________ (composer of "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Evita", "Cats", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Song and Dance", "Starlight Express", "The Phantom of the Opera", "Aspects of Love", "By Jeeves", "Sunset Boulevard"); Lyrics by TIM RICE; Sets and Costumes designed by TIMOTHY O'BRIEN and TAZEENA FIRTH; Choreographed by LARRY FULLER; Directed by HAROLD PRINCE; Produced by ROBERT STIGWOOD in association with DAVID LAND ..... This single page, two-sided handbill measures 5 3/8" X 8 3/8" inches and includes wonderful photography and production credits on the front and performance times, booking information (tickets available from June 3rd to November 2nd, 1985) and a ticket order form on the backside ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
