A still life by Chilean artist Miguel Herrera, c. 1980. Though mostly rendered in neutral brown, the pink and red ceramics enhance the overall warm tone of the composition. Herrera often depicts still life, using neutral tones with one or two accent colors, as seen here. He has won numerous awards over his 50 year art career.
