American mezzotint master Byron Bratt shows the transition between fall to winter in this print from the 1980s. On the right we see the traditional fall scarecrow, complete with pumpkin head, overalls and pitchfork. On the right we see the same figure as a snowman, with a broom instead of a pitchfork. Each is contained in a snow globe; to complete the composition, Bratt shows a crisscross of shadow across the still life, showing Bratt's skill at realism. Signed and numbered in pencil, edition: 30/99. Unframed.
