About Amprobe AT-2004 Advanced Wire Tracer

The Amprobe AT-2004 advanced wire tracer is a circuit tracer that locates and traces energized and non-energized wires, breakers, neutrals, and grounds to identify shorts, ground faults, and broken wires. The tracer includes an R-2000 receiver that can work with one of two transmitters. The T-2200 transmitter traces wire continuity and wire grounds on non-energized systems, while the S-2600 transmitter is compatible with energized 9 to 600V alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC). An included clamp-on transmitter accessory injects a signal for non-contact operation. The receiver can trace energized wires buried or hidden behind walls up to 13 feet deep. The AT-2004 is designed for use by electricians and electrical contractors. Specifications Power supply for transmitter (1) 9V battery (included) Power supply for receiver (1) 9V battery (included) AC/DC voltage range 0 to 300V Transmitter range 0 to 13 ft. Receiver weight (including batteries) 6.2 oz./176g T-2200 transmitter weight 6.4 oz./182g S-2600 transmitter weight 3.8 oz./108g Carrying case dimensions 11 x 15.5 x 4 inches/39.4 x 27.9 x 10.2cm (H x W x D)H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Circuit breaker tracers identify and locate the correct circuit breaker for a particular electrical outlet. The tracers usually include a transmitter, which plugs into the outlet that is being tested, and a receiver, which is a handheld device used to identify the proper circuit breaker in the fuse box. The correct circuit breaker is indicated by LED lights. These tracers may have automatic or manual sensitivity adjustment for use on different kinds of circuits. Breaker tracers may also include additional features, like non-contact voltage detection, which allows it to detect the presence of voltage without being plugged in, and the ability to test ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) and arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) protected circuits. Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA.What’s in the Box?
