Amazon.com Walther and Pachelbel were both predecessors of the great J. S. Bach, and, those who know and love Bach will find themselves in familiar territory here. The music consists of preludes and fugues, chorale preludes, and sets of variations. Bach himself knew this music, loved it, and played it, so who are we to complain? The performance is very dedicated and musical, with the sound of the organ well caught in a highly realistic recording perspective. Even if you normally fight shy of organ music, you should enjoy this. --David Hurwitz
