About The Construction Contracts Book: Annotated Analysis

Product Description Most construction lawyers are familiar with the AIA, EJCDC forms of agreements, and the newer ConsensusDOCS forms. Now completely revised, this invaluable resource offers a topic-by-topic comparison of these forms, providing an easy-reference guide to how the AIA, ConsensusDOCS, and EJCDC forms treat the most significant issues in owner/contractor/subcontractor and owner/design professional agreements; andproposed alternative language for situations where the form contract approach may not provide the best solution. Though some chapters have been consolidated for ease of reference, this third edition uses the same format as the first and second editions. Each chapter is organized by a topic that is addressed in each of the AIA, ConsensusDOCS, and EJCDC owner–contractor–subcontractor or owner–design professional agreements. Each chapter is then divided into three sections: a general background about the topic and summary of the critical issues involved; relevant provisions in the form contracts that address the topic; and alternative clauses for the practitioner to consider in addressing the topic at hand. About the Author R. Carson Fisk is a construction attorney at Andrews Myers P.C. in Austin, Texas. Carrie Okizaki is the cofounder and president of Modus Strategic Solutions, Inc. David A. Scotti is the founder and principal of Scotti Law Group, a boutique law firm in Pittsburgh, PA, that focuses on construction law.
