The microphone was changed some time in 2021 please make sure your original mic looks like this one. If you look at your headset port where your mic is inserted if you see an oval design you need the "slanted end mic" if you see a round hole you need this straight end mic. Another way to tell if your headphones say cloud II, Cloud Core or Cloudx on the inside of your headband you need the slanted end mic. The new headphones do not say what model they are on the headset.The new Cloud 2 is more red while the old Cloud 2 is more orange but this is only a slight difference
