Set everything up using a "helping hands" that got from harbor freight. 2. Remove some solder from contact points (If you didn't have any flux . added some solder that had flux in it when using the solder sucker to remove solder from the contacts). 3. At this point ,If having trouble getting the joystick off, so took the green parts that are on two edges of the joystick, and with a little force you can pry them away from the joystick and wiggle them back and forth until they snap off. This gives you room to use the solder sucker from one side and the iron on the other to hopefully clear the hole. 4. On any of those 6 holes that didn't clear yet, used copper braid to remove at least the metal piece that was sticking out of the hole. You might need to get creative. 5. At this point if you have a heat gun (or even before this point) you might be able to use it to heat the solder and remove the old joystick. if didn't so had to improvise. While the board was in the helping hands, put the blade of leatherman underneath the part and slowly worked the part off the board while heating the solder points on the other side. This was a slow process that you don't want to rush and risk overhewting your board. The method was a little MacGyver but it did in fact work. 6. Use the solder sucker to remove any extra solder from the holes. Clean the board with r
