Brother acts and country music seem a natural fit. This phenomenon started with duos such as the Allen Brothers in the 1920s and persisted into the 21st century with the Louvins and the Everly Brothers. Featured in this collection are two contrasting brother acts that thrived in the 1930s. Both had a ready audience, although the Callahans were successful enough to become became full time music professionals, while the Dixons never left their day jobs in the cotton mills. This is an authentic slice of a lost world, compiled and annotated by Pat Harrison and remastered to bring the past even closer.
