About Legal Nurse Consulting, Third Edition

Product Description Over the past generation, the practice of legal nurse consulting has grown to include areas such as life care planning, risk management, and administrative law, as well as taking on a more diversified role in both criminal and civil law and courtroom proceedings. Used in LNC programs across the country, this two-volume set introduces RNs to the foundations and practice areas of legal nurse consulting, helping them to further define and grow their roles. The volumes are also available individually as and Review The section on standards of practice contains many examples which I think are key. Valerie Gooder, Weber State University The book covers practically every aspect of legal nurse consulting that a student must know we would say that Legal Nurse Consulting Principles is a must have book for all LNC students who want to pursue a career in LNC. This is the basic book that should act as the bare minimum for all LNC. Puneet Setia and Avneesh Gupta, Anil Aggrawal s Internet Journal of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Vol. 11, No. 2, July-Dec. 2010 This book is a great reference ... . The role of the legal nurse consultant is clearly spelled out and is described in multiple settings. The sections on Administrative Health Care Law (especially Fraud and the Life Care Planner sections) are well written with adequate detail. The online references included with each chapter are very valuable. The section on Ambulatory Care is very good as well. The examples of patients in the ED are great. One of the best things about this book is the review of common allegations and the deposition transcripts. This really gives the students a feel for the process and what to expect. The glossary and guide to acronyms are also very helpful. Valerie Gooder, Weber State University" About the Author Senior EditorsAnn M. Peterson, EdD, MSN, RN, CS, LNCC, president of Ann M.
