About MadgeTech HiTemp140-2 Autoclave Temperature Data

The MadgeTech HiTemp 140 autoclave temperature data logger has a 2-inch (51-mm) rigid external probe that measures temperatures from -200 to 260 degrees C (-328 to 500 degrees F), with resolution to 0.01 degrees C (0.02 degrees F), at rates from once per second to once every 24 hours. The stainless steel housing withstands temperatures to 140 degrees C (284 degrees F), and is fully submersible in liquid with an Ingress Protection 68 (IP68) rating, for the fullest possible protection against dust and immersion in liquid. With standard calibration, the 100-ohm platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) sensor is accurate to + or - 0.1 degree C (0.18 degree F) in the range of 20 to +140 degrees C (68 to +284 degrees F). The memory supports storage of up to 32,700 readings with date and time stamps, which is retained if the battery becomes discharged. When used with the IFC400 Interface Cable Package, the HiTemp 140 can interface through the USB docking station with a computer running MadgeTech Data Logger Software to start, stop, and download data from the device (sold separately). The body of the device is 2.7” (67-mm) high with a diameter of 0.97” (25 mm). The probe diameter is 0.125” (3.2 mm) with a 0.188” (4.8-mm) transition diameter. The unit weighs 4.2 oz (120 g) and comes with a 3.6V, half-AA, pressure-contact, high-temperature, lithium battery installed.Data loggers, also called dataloggers or data recorders, record measurements over time or in relation to location through the use of electronic sensors. Data loggers typically measure a single condition such as temperature, strain, force, or acceleration, but may measure multiple conditions. Measurements are collected and recorded within the device’s internal memory, and can be retrieved for viewing and analysis through an interface to a computer. Data loggers are used in applications that include machine condition monitoring, environmental monitoring, and quality testing.MadgeTech designs and manufactures equipment for data acquisition and logging for use in the medical, scientific, industrial, environmental, and food-processing industries. The company is headquartered in Contoocook, NH.
