About StrataRise Low Profile Self-Leveling Joist Support

2442LP-SL-DF Low Profile Self-Leveling Pedestals for Joists The Low-Profile 2442 self-leveling pedestal, with auto adjustment for slopes from 0° to 5°, is a specially designed support for use in sloping areas where low threshold heights are required. The pedestals adjust from 0.95" to 1.30" (24mm to 33mm) as standard, or from 1.30" to 1.65" (33mm to 42mm) with the addition of the 0.35" (9mm) extender ring supplied as standard with each pedestal. This can be fitted by lifting the head out of the base, inserting the ring and replacing the head. Each support is composed of a threaded self-leveling head section, with a fixing flange with screw slot for attaching to a joist or beam. The head is wide enough for joists up to 3" (75mm) and is suitable for all common heights. For wider joists we recommend placing alternate pedestals from opposite sides of the joist. An easy to operate threaded adjustment ring makes raising or lowering the head really quick and precise. Height adjustments can be made without lifting or removing the joists thus allowing for extremely easy and fast installation. The large 200mm (8”) base plate provides stable support on most surfaces. Scribe marks are provided on the underside to assist in trimming for use at sides and corners of installations. An optional 1/8" (3mm) thick anti-slip, cushioning, rubber base ring is available for use on membranes, etc. This effectively reduces transmitted noise where decks are mounted on balconies or roof areas, as well as for floors in multi-occupancy buildings. 2442LP self-Leveling pedestal supports are tested to withstand loads of 1430 lbs (650Kg) at their weakest setting, i.e. maximum height adjustment with just one thread engaged. The normal spacing apart for the 2442LP-SL-DF is at 24" centres for most projects, potentially saving up to 50% on units required for many projects when compared with other systems.
