About Small Dragon (Ohko) Stone (1 Lb) Aquarium

Small Stones 0.5 - 2lbs / 6" x 4" x 3.5" approx. We recommend washing the stone under tap water before adding to your aquarium Unlike seiryu stones or elephant skin stone, dragon stone does not alter water pH and GH. They are completely safe for Red Cherry Shrimp, Ghost/Glass Shrimp, and Amano Shrimp. Dragon Stone (also known as Ohko Stone) is named such for its unique texture that mimics a dragon's scales. Natural dragon stones take their name from their unusual greenish brown coloring and uneven, rippled surface texture. Dragon Stone has become very popular with Iwagumi aquariums where the main focus is on the rocks and the plants complement the overall set up. When placed in groups they have maximum effect and plants really complement them. It's a finely detailed stone with many crevices and holes. These crevices are perfect for planting mosses and small plants. The rocks are most effective when used in groups to form the main foundation to your aquascape with plants placed around them. Dragon stone is softer than other type of stones used in aquarium. It can be easily broken into smaller pieces with a chisel and hammer.
