Decorative 1/2-Inch diameter downrods are threaded on one end with pre-drilled holes on both ends. The threaded end of the downrod should be installed in the ball, inside the ceiling canopy. For optimum performance, Monte Carlo recommends that your ceiling fan is installed with the blades suspended between 8-Feet and 9-Feet above the floor. This downrod is in a beautiful Roman Bronze and is suited for a ceiling height of 13-Feet with a suggested downrod length of 48-Inch.
