Over the years, Paller has done quite a lot of colored pencil drawings which relate to the paintings. The technique he has developed is very methodical and time consuming. Layer upon layer of various colours are applied to create delicate surfaces of color and light over the forms. The white of the paper provides a luminous negative space.
