About This Happy Breed (1944) DVD
As soon as the First World War ends, the Gibbons family (Frank, Ethel, their three children - Reg, Vi and Queenie, as well as Frank's sister Sylvia and mother Ethel) move to a beautiful house in the suburbs of London. There, Frank's friend Bob Mitchell becomes their neighbor. Rejoicing in a peaceful existence, the family leads an ordinary life of ordinary people from the working class - just until the Second World War falls on the heads of humanity.
