CRL Pickup Selector Switch, 5-Way Lever, Made In Features

  • Genuine CRL switch, the switch used in the original Fender Stratocaster, beginning in 1954!

  • Still made in the USA. Improved from the original design to maximize function and durability.

  • Hole spacing fits all Fender guitars made in the USA and Mexico. Also fits many clones, including Squier Classic Vibe.

  • Included stainless mounting screws might be larger than the holes in pickguards with metric dimensions (Fender Japan, many clones). Slight hole enlargement might be required.

  • Lever requires Fender-style switch tips (not included). Smaller openings on some imported switch tips will not fit these switches.

About CRL Pickup Selector Switch, 5-Way Lever, Made In

This is a 5-pack of our ES-SW5A switches. Made in the USA by CRL, the original supplier to Fender in the 1950s, this is the direct descendant of the original, and is considered the premium 5-way lever switch on the market. Improved design captures the switch contacts so they cannot rotate about their rivets like the vintage switches can. External spring ensures very positive engagement. Fender moved to Oak-Grigsby switches several decades ago in the interest of saving money. The Oak switches are made in Mexico where manufacturing costs are lower. Oak switches are also of high quality, and we sell many of them. But if you want the best 5-way lever switch available, this is the one! Securely packed in a heavy box, with each switch inside its own bubble sleeve.
