No phone jack by your TV or Computer? Use this device when you don't have a phone jack where you need one! Easy Jack simply plugs into an AC outlet for an instant phone jack. Turns any AC outlet into a phone jack instantly! No wiring, drilling, or tools. Just plug it in! Increases efficiency and saves time and money for satellite installers. The base unit powers up to eight extension units. - Use it with: Tivo, ReplayTV, Dish, Direct TV Satellite Receiver, DVRs, Computers, Fax Machines, Compatible with up to 56k modems, Caller ID compatible, passes the caller ID to your television - Intended use to provide telephone access to devices requiring telephone access i.e. Fax Machines, Satellite Receivers , Dial-up Internet access, etc. (Data only). You may hear line noise when trying to use it for voice. The noise is caused by the noise in the power lines in your house and may not effect data transmission. - Please Note: It will not work to connect a DSL line.
