From the Manufacturer Cinénova7 is part of the legendary Cinénova series, known for its raw power but also transparency. Cinénova7 differs from its Cinénova Grande 7 counterpart in its power rating. Earthquake designed this amplifier because of the high demand it received from customers. With a monaural design, the Cinénova7 has a clear sound quality with low distortion. At 8 ohms, the Cinénova7 outputs 170 WRMS measured with all channels driven. This is the perfect amount of power for most home theaters and can accommodate a diverse amount of audio set-ups. This rack-mountable amp will blend in perfectly with your existing system. Cinénova7 will provide you with true amplification no matter how your system changes and upgrades. With the increasingly popular surround sound audio format available with most movies, nobody needs to miss out on the true theater experience. The Earthquake Sound Cinenova7 provides true amplification no matter how your system changes upgrades. View larger MARS Power Protection Technology The MARS technology (Magnetically Actuated Reanimation System) is a new type of protection system that enables the use of all the amplifier's power resources without compromising the survivability of the amplifier under catastrophic conditions. Typical protection systems rely on fuses or relays that complicate the signal path thus degrading audio quality. MARS is different as it is not in the signal path, but works by sensing the electro-magnetic signature of the speaker output wire then translating this input into amperes flowing through the wire. This provides superior protection for your amplifier without adding any interference or signal noise. ConCurrent Power Supply Design The ConCurrent power supply design ensures full power can be delivered at all times to all channels simultaneously. This guarantees that no matter how hard one channel is driven it will have no effect on surrounding channels. To stiffen the supply (lower regulation factor) the transformer cores are made of ferrite instead of a lower grade iron material. The windings are made with the same oxygen-free copper that is used in high-end speaker cables. To ensure hum-free operation, the transformer is hard-wound and made with military-grade high temperature lacquer. The ConCurrent power supply in the Cinénova 7 has a combined transformer rating of 2400VA.
