The Class 1 Division 2 Emergency Light is hazardous location rated and suitable for use in locations which require explosion-proof emergency lighting fixtures. It comes with (2) 5W MR16 lamps that are fully-adjustable and a nickel-cadmium battery pack. Construction Our sleek and stylish Class 1 Division 2 emergency light is constructed with a .100" thick heavy die cast aluminum back housing, which we then powder coat with an industrial gray baked-on finish. A clear 0.125" thick polycarbonate lens protects the lighting heads within from vandalism and impact. To meet NEC and OSHA protocols for Class 1 Div. 2 spaces, a memory retention gasket protects the inside cavity from dust, moisture or water intrusion. The Class 1 Division 2 emergency light uses dual 5W MR16 lamp heads which can be hand positioned by first removing the polycarbonate shield. Battery and UL Testing The Class 1 Division 2 emergency light includes a shrink-wrapped pack of AAA-sized 6V Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cad) batteries, which supplies 90 minutes of emergency runtime.
