The Enerpac STF-14H bolting tool pump set includes an Enerpac FSH-14 hydraulic wedge spreader and an Enerpac P-392 hydraulic hand pump and is suitable for spreading a flange joint. The spreader has an Enerpac RC-102 single-acting hydraulic cylinder, delivers 14 tons of spreading force, and holds up to 4.76 cu. in. of hydraulic fluid. Single-acting cylinders use liquid pumped through a single port for rod extension and an internal spring for rod retraction to produce continued movement. The wedge inserts between the flange faces, fits access gaps as narrow as 0.24", and spreads as wide as 3.16". The wedge is stepped for grip and can spread on each step under a full load. The two sides of the wedge move in a parallel fashion to prevent spreader failure or flange damage. The stepped safety block can be inserted into the gap to hold it open. A quick coupler connects the cylinder to the pump. The hand-operated, two-speed pump has a glass-filled nylon reservoir and a nylon-encased aluminum base for corrosion resistance and a fiberglass handle for non-reactivity.
