About Unox DN15 Ball Float Steam Trap, Thermostatic, ANSI

Ball float steam trap is a type of valve used to control the flow of liquids such as water or steam in a piping system. It consists of a valve body with a hollow chamber, called the float chamber, filled with liquid. The valve body also has an inlet and an outlet, as well as a control element such as a ball or disc attached to the float. When the fluid enters the float chamber through the inlet port, it lifts the float, which raises the control element and allows the fluid to flow through the outlet port. When the liquid flow decreases, the float and control element go down, closing the outlet opening and preventing the liquid from flowing. Float traps are commonly used to regulate steam or water flow in heating and cooling systems and can be used to maintain a constant liquid level in a tank or to prevent excessive pressure in a system. They are simple, reliable and easy to maintain and can be adjusted to control the flow rate of the fluid.
