Fast and easy-to-use permanent bonding method provides high strength and long-term durability. Virtually invisible fastening keeps surfaces smooth.
Black or white, 0.045 in (1.1 mm), modified acrylic adhesive and very conformable acrylic foam core bonds to a wide variety of substrates including powder coated paints and irregular surfaces.
Can replace mechanical fasteners (rivets, welding, screws) or liquid adhesives. Eliminate drilling, grinding, reɥnishing, screwing, welding and clean-up.
Creates a permanent seal against water, moisture and more by oɢering better gap ɥlling capabilities. Pressure sensitive adhesive bonds on contact to provide immediate handling strength.
APPLICATIONS: LED strip lights, photo frames, trims, car registration plates, name plates, address plaques, signs, emblem, car holders, mosquito/bug screen, metal mailbox, mirrors, hangers, bathroom pendant, power strip and other automotive home office decorations.
Double Sided Tape 5952 is a black or white, 0.045 in (1.1 mm) modified acrylic adhesive with a very conformable, foam core. In most cases, fastening with 5952 Tape is a quicker process than drilling, fastening, or using liquid adhesive. 5952 Tape consists of a durable acrylic adhesive with viscoelastic properties. This provides an extraordinarily strong double sided foam tape that adheres to a broad range of substrates, including aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, composites, plastics, acrylic, polycarbonate, ABS and painted or sealed wood and concrete. Specifications: ✔ 1 Roll x Black Double Sided Tape. Length 16 feet; Width 0.99 inches; Thickness: 0.045 inches. Application Guide: - Surface Cleaning: Quick pre-clean of tough spots if necessary. Wet cloth to remove most contaminants. Final wipe with dry cloth. - Priming the Surface: Primer on a disposable towel, followed by a dry towel. Dauber bottle followed by a dry towel. Foam brush. - Abrading Your Substrate: Light abrasion by hand. Clean the substrate after abrading to make sure all sanding debris is removed from the bond area. - Tape Application by Hand: Start the tape at the edge of the surface and lay it down, applying constant pressure as you go. Apply a roll down force of at least 15 lbs with a dense J-roller over the entire area to ensure good contact between the tape and the first substrate surface. Remove the protective liner to apply the other substrate. - Applying Final Pressure: Applying pressure to the applied tape facilitates optimal wet-out onto the substrate. Bond strengths at the minimum application temperature will be achieved as follows: 20 minutes 50%, 1 hour 75%, 24 hours 90%, 3 days 100%. Assemblies can be handled within 10 minutes but bonds should not be stressed before 72 hours.
