About the Artist Don Stiernberg is a journeyman Chicago studio musician, plying his trade in jazz and numerous other genres on mandolin (his principal instrument), guitar, and (occasionally) on tenor banjo. He is the former protege' of the late, great Jethro Burns, and has headlined music festivals and major concerts throughout the U.S. John Carlini, a former member of the David Grisman Quintet, was the guitarist with the Navy Show Band, and was the musical director for the Ice Capades. He also appeared with the late Stephane' Grappelli in the Martin Scorcesi classic "King of the Gypsies."
