Known for his playing style that mixes Rock, Blues, Jazz, Fusion and Soul, Richie Kotzen as well as singer, songwriter is a fantastic guitar player. Though he was known primarily for using his Telecaster® on the Poison band or even the Winery Dogs, the Japanese Fender launched two "Richie Kotzen Stratocaster®" guitar models in 1996, which came factory with DiMarzo pickups. All Richie's Stratocaster® from the Japanese Fender as well as the "Richie Kotzen pickguard" features solder-free connectors for easy installation on any guitar with a standard 11-hole pickguard. Armed with a 5-position wrench (Fender standard), the custom pickups are Single Coil. Center pickup has a reverse magnet and position 2 and 4 cancel noise (Strato pattern as well) These pickups are medium-gain which makes them very dynamic and "articulated". Even with distortion, each note can be heard. Sound is strong and percussive with that brilliant clarity from Strat®.
