The P85 uses the same model as our original 85 but is built in a P90 style housing. Featuring Alnico V magnet-loaded narrow opening coils, the P85 is a powerful guitar pickup with exceptional tone and versatility. The Alnico magnets of this design provide a snarling wreck and soft lead tones, allowing you to touch from the blues to the most extreme metal. Although often used in the arm position, no mistake, the EMG P85 sounds very well in the position of the bridge, thanks to its exceptional softness and soul. If you want a higher sound than your current P90, this is a great pickup and using our solderless system makes changing tone easier than ever. Includes all necessary accessories for solder-free installation.
