This is for ONE tumble polished Thailand tektite stone. These have been lightly smoothed and then polished to a high gloss. The original tektite shape and pitting has been maintained. Tektites are primarily formed as "splash" from meteor impacts. They are chemically similar to black obsidian, but are not from volcanic processes. Tektites are formed instantly during a meteor impact and then ejected down range as molten blobs that cool and solidify in flight. They can be composed from material on the ground impact site or from parts of the meteor or both. These tektites are from Thailand and are approximately 700,000 years old.
