Planks are: Selected from clear grain western red cedar. Not knots that might pop and split on the barbecue. Kiln-dried to help prevent mould and warping and to help encourage better water absorption. Cut, planed and sanded until the surface is smooth. Then, we bevel the edges to ensure our cedar planks are free of splinters, so they won't tear or leave splinters/wood shavings in your food. Jumbo Sized Planks Mean Better Quality and Better Grilling Flavour. Each plank is: 18" long, so it holds that massive Sockeye Salmon you caught earlier in the day! 8" wide, to hold more food and double as a serving board. 7/16" thick, to cook more slowly, release more aroma and most importantly, more flavour! Reusable up to 5 times! Better quality cedar planks means they can be washed and reused several times over. Better quality means better value than other ¼ inch cedar planks.
