With the creation of the GPS, people throughout the world stopped getting lost. But, for many, the internal problems of disorientation are not over. We do not always go in the right direction nor do we always know where we are going. Thoughts often go one way and emotions the other. It we decide and learn how to take command of our minds, we can make them our best allies. If we leave it alone, it will become our most fearsome enemy as we live according to our mental map, tirelessly repeating the same routing. It’s time to start working on new ways to re-signify our lives and recalculate our steps through this book. Con la aparición del GPS, el mundo dejó de perderse. Pero nosotros aún seguimos perdidos. En nuestra cabeza, los problemas de desorientación no se terminaron. La mente tiene dos grandes ventajas: 1- puede observarse a sí misma. 2- y cuando cambia, el cerebro la acompaña. Pero también tiene dos grandes desventajas: 1- si la dejan sola, hace lo que quiere. 2- y su compañero de ruta, el cerebro, es vago. Si nos decidimos a tomar el mando y a ser más astutos que nuestra mente, podemos convertirla en nuestra mejor aliada. Pero si la dejamos librada a su antojo, puede llegar a transformarse en nuestro enemigo más temible. Vivimos según el mapa mental que nos hemos construido, repitiendo incansablemente la misma ruta.
