The new acoustic concept of the EARPADS is based on the LIC (LOUDNESS integrated corrector) technology which has been worldwide patented in 2008. Inspired by technology used in pro-audio and hi-fi, the realization of the acoustic filter includes the principle of LIC in a hearing protector for the first time. The physiological principle used to correct an audio signal to obtain a sound subjectively more powerful and balanced when listening at low volume, the loudness correction is to compensate the fact that the human hearing is less sensitive in the bass and high frequencies at a low noise level. It works by boosting the low and high frequencies according to realistic hearing to make the sound more natural and dynamic.
