About Teeter Neck Relax & Restore Duo - Decompress To

The Neck Relax & Restore Duo utilizes two different inserts that provide traction/decompression of the neck and self-administered suboccipital release, a technique to release trigger points in the suboccipital and supporting muscles of the neck to help relieve tension headaches. Use the Neck Relax & Restore Duo while lying on a flat surface OR while inverted on a Teeter Inversion Table*. Apply static, firm pressure by holding the head still or tilt side-to-side to rotate the Neck Relax & Restore Duo and enhance cervical decompression. A steel roller bearing system in its base ensures smooth operation. The ergonomic, injection-molded plastic base with non-slip grips is topped with a durable, textured rubber insert that can be chilled in the freezer for a therapeutic cooling sensation or switched with the Flexible Arch Insert for a gentler neck massage. *Attaches to Teeter Inversion Table models series FlexTech, ComforTrak and FitSpine What is the suboccipital region? The suboccipitals are a group of four muscles located on the back of the neck, directly below the occipital bone (base of the skull). The occipital muscles connect to the top two vertebra of the neck and control turning/tilting of the neck. How can tense suboccipital muscles contribute to headaches? These muscles are strained by repetitive movements or poor posture from long periods sitting in front of a desk or at the wheel. When occipitals are tense they can refer pain throughout the head and neck and can generate tension headaches. How does the Neck Relax & Restore Duo work to relieve pressure and alleviate tension headaches? The Neck Relax & Restore Duo Textured Rubber Insert works by applying firm pressure directly to the suboccipital muscles to reduce pain and relieve tension. The trigger points will initially feel tender when they are tight but these muscles will relax after several minutes and the pressure will reduce.
