About Mitutoyo 192-615-10 LCD Digimatic Height

The Mitutoyo 192-615-10 LCD Digimatic height gauge displays in metric units within a range of 0 - 1000 mm, has an LCD digital readout with selectable resolution of 0.01mm or 0.005mm, with + or - 0.07 mm of accuracy, and data output to transmit results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer for statistical process control (SPC). This height gauge has an electronic microprocessor providing the ability to preset up to two reference heights at any position, hold data at any position, as well as set a temporary zero position and return to a true zero reading. The output port transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer through an interface cable (not included) for statistical process control (SPC). The scriber, used to mark a position on a workpiece, is 32 mm x 80 mm (H x L), carbide-tipped for hardness and to help prolong life, and is held to the gauge by a screw clamp for fastening ease. A dual-column beam provides stability that helps promote accurate measurements. A hand-operated feed wheel raises and lowers the gauge on the beam for ease of measurement, and is selectable for coarse or fine travel. The grip-base helps hold the unit in position by hand. The height gauge weighs 34.61 lbs/15.7 kg. The unit comes with an SR44 battery.Height gauges, also called gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gauge and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels. Recorded rotations are read from a scale, a dial, counters, and/or an electronic display. A screw clamp holds the pointer to the gauge. The pointer is typically sharpened to act as a scriber, and can be used to mark position on a workpiece by scratching its surface. On compatible units, the scriber may be replaced by an electronic touch-signal probe. Height gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1934 and formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963, which is headquartered in Aurora, IL.What’s in the Box?Mitutoyo 192-615-10 Digimatic Height GaugeSR44 Battery
