Welcome to the misfit side of the family. The Lander 4 Black Sheep is the first fixed blade to join the Lander crew, and like any good black sheep, it proudly does things a little differently. With a sheepsfoot blade that skips the stabby point for a more mellow, utilitarian curve, it’s made for everything from slicing apples to breaking down boxes to surviving Monday mornings. The contoured black micarta handle isn’t just for looks (though it does look dang fine). Micarta’s that fancy composite material you’ll find in airplane brakes and medical gear—so yeah, it’s tough stuff. Gets grippier when wet, wears in beautifully over time, and keeps your hand locked in when the job gets messy. Stonewashed S35VN steel makes this blade the triple threat of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and easy sharpening—aka the steel that doesn’t make you choose. And because we love a good detail: there’s a brass booster bead threaded onto a slick little lanyard through the rear screw. It’s designed to look like the Saturn V rocket blasting the astronauts from the Apollo missions into space.
