Made in Texas The Larson Electronics Explosion Proof Timer Switch provides timed controls for equipment in combustible work sites and locations. The timer can be configured using a DPST switch and allows for settings up to 60 minutes. Constructed of copper-free aluminum, this unit is NEMA-rated for durability in rugged environments. This unit offers robust timing control of equipment. This unit is equipped with a dual pole single throw switch, which allows operators to set the timer up to 60 minutes. Settings less than 60 minutes is possible. The device can also be reset back to zero any time during the countdown (example: after 10 minutes, reset back to zero). The explosion proof timer switch is designed for Class I, Division 1 and 2; Class II, Division 1 and 2; and Class III environments and operates on 120-277V AC 50/60 Hz; 20A @ 125V AC (7A for Tungsten loads), 10A @ 250V AC, 10A @ 277V AC. It uses 1HP @ 120V AC and 2HP @ 240V AC. A mechanical spring controls the unit. Power input for the timer is not required. This unit is constructed of copper-free cast aluminum for superior performance and durability. These switches are not factory sealed and require external sealing fittings. Two external mounting lugs provide simple and secure mounting of the unit to walls and flat surfaces. This explosion proof unit is available with either 1/2" or 3/4" NPT tapped hubs. The conduit openings are provided on the top and bottom of the unit in feed through versions, while dead-end versions have a single conduit hub, providing easy and secure connection to main power line supplies. Operating temperature is -40 degrees F to 104 degrees F (-40 degrees C to 40 degrees C). Suggested Applications: Manufacturing, Industrial, Warehouse, Lighting, Lighting, Wet areas or Locations Where Combustible Dust is Present. This switch can be used with fans, motors, heaters, and lighting (including incandescent, halogen, compact fluorescent, tungsten, and LED lighting loads).
