Sternreiter BIRD AND LEAF Model 1200 Black Forest Mechanical Cuckoo Clock with Half and Full Hour Strike is a charming and affordable cuckoo clock that has leaves and a bird hand carved from solid Linden wood. When the clock strikes the hour or half-hour, the door opens, a cuckoo appears and counts the hours along with the clock’s gong strike. Bird and Leaf Clock is hand-made in Germany and VDS Certified. The mechanical brass movement is driven by two weights and time is marked with ticktock of a traditional Black Forest clock hand carved wooden pendulum. The cuckoo call sound is made by two wooden whistles with bellows inside the clock case. Even the packaging has an old-world charm, as only paper is used. All the factory packing is made of the recycled materials. This clock makes a great gift for the young and old alike and is something can be treasured and passed on through generations.
