About Veronese Design 11 3/4 Inch Lady Of Justice
The Lady of Justice, often portrayed blindfolded, is a personification of moral force in judicial systems. The four Cardinal virtues are Justice, Wisdom or Prudence, Courage or Fortitude, and Temperance. Justice is often depicted as a woman holding a scale and a sword, symbolizing fair and equal treatment (the scale) under the law (the sword). The blindfold represents impartiality, the ideal that justice should be applied without the influence of wealth, power, or status. In other words, "Justice is blind." She is not influenced by external factors and treats everyone equally. This means that justice does not favor the rich or powerful, and truly cares about the good of everyone involved.
