#1 Coarse (8-micron) filters are the best choice when there is visible sediment in your wine. A #1 filter will remove almost all visible sediment and is less likely to clog than a #2 0r #3 filter. Best for Fruit/White/Red wines and beer or kombucha.

Use a #2 (2 Micron) filter for brilliant filtration when your wine has already naturally settled out. Too many yeast cells in solution or sediment at the bottom will quickly clog a #2 filter. Best for Red/White wines.

#3 0.8-micron filters. Ideal for filtering white wine to give it that perfect shine or light red wines. The wine to be filtered should already be very clear as this filter will load up quickly with the material. It is a common practice to pre-filter already settled wine with a #2 filter and then filter with this. #3 Sterile filter. Best for White wines.
