The Hoof Boss Mobile Set awards you the opportunity to trim your goats’ hooves anywhere! The Battery Powered Hoof Boss uses a Dewalt 20Volt battery (or compatible) seated in a specially designed holster that connects to the trimmer with a short cord. There are multiple discs included in the Complete Goat Hoof Care Set. The 8 Tooth Cdisc is the fastest way to cut excess material from the goat’s hoof. It is small enough and easily controlled to work between the toes. The 8 Tooth Cdisc is the way to go if trimming large herds of goats. There are also three abrasive discs designed to remove hoof material, and these are also used between the toes. The Gold Fine Grit Disc is used on smaller goats with less to remove or for a first time trim. The Blue Medium Grit Disc is used on goats that have small to standard size hooves or regularly maintained hooves that do not require a lot of work to bring them back to confirmation. The Blue Medium Grit Disc is also great when treating a foundered goat. The Silver Coarse Grit Disc is best suited for medium to large goat breeds like Boer Goats or goats with rock hard hooves. Choice of trimming disc will be dependent on the environment and current condition of the goat’s hooves. It’s best to try each one to see what works for you.
