About Aeroquip FC7216-1010S Carbon Steel PTFE Crimp Hose

This Aeroquip PTFE crimp hose fitting is a carbon steel hose crimp socket for a straight connection of hose to a pipe with a crimp nipple and attached sleeve on one end that connects to a skived hose and an SAE 45-degree female swivel on the other end for connecting to a male threaded pipe. It is made of American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) 12L14 carbon steel for tensile strength and hardness, coated with zinc for resistance to corrosion, and it has been machined to meet Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) standards. Aeroquip PTFE hose requires a crimp machine with a positive backstop (not included). Pressure and temperature ratings for this fitting are determined by the maximum working pressure for the hose size and type, as hose failure typically occurs first. This Aeroquip fitting is designed exclusively for PTFE Aeroquip hose for high temperature, high pressure, corrosion resistant hydraulic applications, such as molding, fuel lines, chemical handling, and steam applications, among others. This fitting is compatible with the following Aeroquip hoses: 2807, FC465, and S-TW.Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Push-to-connect connections do not require tools or sealants. Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others.Aeroquip, a subsidiary of Eaton, manufactures hose, fittings, adapters, couplings, and fluid connectors. The company, founded in 1939, is headquartered in Maumee, OH.
