This NSi Industries IPCS1002 Easy-Tap insulation-piercing connector is suitable for tapping or splicing electrical lines in copper-to-copper, copper-to-aluminum, and aluminum-to-aluminum solid or stranded wire applications. It can be used on main lines from American Wire Gauge (AWG) 1/0 to #8 with tap lines from #2 to #10 AWG. It is fully insulated and can be used on energized conductors as long as the tap line is not under load. Double shear-head bolts ensure that the proper amount of torque is applied during installation. This connector is not recommended for use with extra-flexible cables and is not approved for submersible applications. It is rated for 600V and 90 degrees C and meets American National Standards Institute (ANSI) C119.4 requirements and is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 486B Listed. This insulation-piercing connector is suitable for a wide range of electrical line tapping and splicing applications with appropriately sized conductors.
