Easy to use Tryptic Soy Agar Powder (100 grams) for the general cultivation of microorganisms. It is a great cost saver and a fun activity to pour your own Petri dishes. Rather than spending extra funds for prepared agar plates, you can use our TSA powder to pour over 100-125 premium quality potato dextrose agar dishes. Our TSA powder is extremely high quality and made using biotech industry standards. The agar is excellent for microbiology experiments. This is also a great science kit to learn microbiology and fantastic for laboratory and research use. There is enough powder included that you can pour a thick layer of agar perfect for microorganism growth! You will see improved performance compared to other products. Contents: 1. 100g of Tryptic Soy Agar Powder (TSA) with instructions. Here are some basic instructions: 1. Add 40 grams per liter of water (distilled water is preferred). 2. Bring the mixture to a boil and mix well. 3. (Recommended) Autoclave the mixture for ~30 minutes at 15psi (121°C) 4. Pour enough agar to coat the bottom of each Petri dish. 1 Liter makes about 40 to 50 plates. 5. Let the agar cool down and solidify (this takes about 1-2hrs). 6.
